Abhinav Mukund and Wasim Jaffer have put on 265 for the first wicket for India Blue against India Green during the ongoing NKP Salve Challenger Trophy One Day series. This is the new Challenger Trophy record and the equal the record of best first wicket partnership in Ranji Trophy ODI. The previous best in Challenger Trophy was 187 runs between Shikhar Dhavan and MS Dhoni for India Seniors Vs India B at Mumbai in 2004-05. However the first wicket fall at 246 but Dhoni retired hurt after having scored 87 and when the team score was 187. He returned when the score was 1/246 and remained not out for 102 in the team score of 2/278. The best partnership for this wicket in Ranji ODI is also 265 posted by TP Singh and Amit Pagnis for the Railways against at Chennai in 2002-03. World record: Ghulam Ali and Sohail Jaffer have put on 326* for the first wicket for PIA vs Agriculture Development bank of Pakistan at Sialkot in 2000-01.
