Manipur wins All India Women''s Football title

Manipur today lifted Pempa Dorji memorial 1st All India Women''s Football Championship defeating Orissa 3-2 in a tie-breaker in the final played at Paljor Stadium here. For Manipur, S Ibeyaima Devi, S Meera Devi and L Ashrani Devi converted the penalties, while Sasmita Malik and Alochana Senapati scored for Orissa.

The two teams were locked 0-0 at full time to force the result into a tiebreaker. Orissa''s Seeta Sharma was named the best player of the tournament.
