Rajkot ODI and Tuesday

India and Sri Lanka will play the first ODI of the series at Rajkot on Tuesday 15 December. So its again Tuesday at Rajkot. There are 11 ODI matches has been played at Rajkot and 5 of them hosted on Tuesday. Rajkot's Madhavrao Scindhia stadium will hit a sixer of Tuesday on 15 December.
However Tuesday is not that much lucky for India at Rajkot. India has played 10 matches with 50% success but they lost 3 of the five ODI here on Tuesday.
India lost to Australia when the first ever One Day International played here on 7 October 1986 and that was on Tuesday. India again lost here when Sir Vivian Richards hit a masterful 100 on 5 January 1988 against West Indies on Tuesday.
The home team also lost to South Africa in 1996 by 5 wickets on the last Tuesday of October (29th)
However India won against Sri Lanka in 1994 with the help of a hundred by NS Sidhu and then against West Indies when Virender Sehwag scored unbeaten 114 off just 85 balls in 2002. No need to say both time it was Tuesday.
