TWO Double century partnership

Virender Sehwag has now one unique record in his kitty. Though he missed his third triple hundred by only 7 runs on Friday against Sri Lanka at the Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai and also a world record but created another record and that is unique.
Sehwag, on the way of scoring 293 runs, have registered two double century partnership in the same innings. Test cricket have witnessed 200 runs (or more) partnership by the same pair in the same test, more then TWO double hundred partnerships in the same innings by various pair but one batsman added 200 or more twice in the same innings with different partners is really rare. This has happened only 8 times in the history and unique thing is Sehwag has done it twice.
Sehwag added 221 runs with Murali Vijay for the first wicket and then went onto add 237 runs with Rahul Dravid for the second wicket against Sri Lanka in India’s first innings. Two seasons back in 2007-08 Sehwag put on 213 with Wasim Jaffer for the first wicket and 268 again with Dravid for the second wicket at Chepauk against South Africa. That time he scored 319.
